All spaces at the centre have daily routines which have been developed within the children’s ages and developmental stages in mind. These routines incorporate daily events such as mealtimes, rest times and group times. These routines are put into place to provide the children with a sense of security and continuity throughout their day and they are also times when educators can meaningfully interact with the children. While each learning space has a routine in place there is space for spontaneous experiences and flexibility as part of educating children. Our early learning day has a natural rhythm, a relaxed pace where one part of the day flows happily to the next. The children have the opportunity to long periods of uninterrupted time which allows and encourages them to get involved in what interests them without being hurried on or having their efforts packed up before they are finished. We aim for all the children to have choice and balance throughout their day.
Centre Routines
KIN Early Education understands that routines for children are of upmost importance as it promotes safety and belonging for the children providing predictability and development of trust along with self help skills, self confidence and manageable expectations for the children. Within our services for children under 18mths of age we adapt the routine that you have established in your family home, this will be communicated to us via our infant routine forms during your orientation/enrolment process ensuring a smooth transition into care from their home emvironment. Once the children move towards a more central routine. In general, a typical day revolves around meal times….

- 9:30am- Morning Tea
- 11:00am- Lunch
- 2:30pm -Afternoon Tea

Daily routine times for each learning space may vary slightly adding in elements of indoor and outdoor play, open play and exploration, intentional teaching, group collaboration time, project work, rest and relaxation catering to the childrens learning and development stages, Individual room routines are displayed in all our our learning spaces for families to see.
What you need to bring
BACKPACK
For independence, we work towards all children being able to recognise and open their own bag. You can help by allowing them to be involved in selecting their bag and taking ownership of it. Please ensure it is large enough to hold all their belongings and is clearly labelled.
SPARE CLOTHING
Every now and then, accidents occur, and it may be necessary for your child to get changed into a fresh set of clothes. Please include a complete change of clothes every day which can stay in your child’s bag...just in case!
DRINK BOTTLE
A labelled drink bottle is required every day for water. Children are able to refill their drink bottle when necessary, throughout the day. We always provide water and cups, but a drink bottle is a great start to school readiness.
SUN HAT
A protective sun hat (either broad brimmed or legionnaire hat) must be worn every day when playing outside for protection against the sun. Please make sure to include it in your child’s bag every day regardless of the weather conditions.
NAPPIES, CREAM AND WIPES
Parents are required to provide Nappies x 6 per booked day, Nappy Barrier Cream (to be left at the service) and wipes for their child. Nappies need to be brought daily not in bulk due to limited storage space available at our service.
